I must admit, ever since little person was old enough to try and hold a pencil, I enjoyed buying anything arty! From simple pencil colours, crayons and felt tips, to stamps, glue and glitter. Eventually, as time went on, space started to run out (no surprises!) We went from a small box of supplies, to a large box, to an 80l box, plus shelf! There were two issues with the box and shelf
- Nothing was organised or in order
- Things weren’t placed back correctly, moreso just thrown back in.
This meant creased card, terrible looking a4 paper and usually sequins and glitter everywhere. Something had to change...and boy was I glad to find this absolutely fantastic organiser trolley at Hobbycraft.
This trolley has been an absolute lifesaver when it’s come to organising our art supplies. The picture is after the kids have had a play and tried replacing items, which is so neat compared to our old system!
In order to keep everything tidy, I bought a few more items. Plastic containers with lids, which have been perfect for pom poms, sequins, collection of scissors, cotton balls, stamps and anything else that fits neatly. I’ve used a few of the lid containers to keep items separate as well as neat.
The side pots are amazing! They’ve enabled me to keep all the pens, colours, pencils and other items that are used more regularly within reach. The pots are actually wall herb planters from IKEA, but they nicely hook onto the trolley.
We’ve used the bottom tray for the larger paint bottles, papers, disposable plates and other much larger items that can’t be ‘squeezed’ into smaller containers. The trolley has enough space to use larger folders (we have two, one for paper and one for card), as well as ceramic items that we decorate (do check our Instagram page for more pics on those).
The post quite possibly gives it away(!) but I am extremely happy with this buy, and love how it’s helped tidy up, as it’s quite slim it’s also helped save some space...so a win win!
We bought ours from Honbycraft, but Ikea also have the same ones! They’re also magnetic, and even though I haven’t quite got round to it, but I will be sticking all the magnets from the fridge onto our trolley, to stop the magnets from running away from the fridge (they tend to do that!)
So, a 10/10 for this trolley! We love it!
