ExplorerTots science box

We were sent the Explorertot science box for a review. First impressions When the box arrived, I was taken aback by the funky case, the kids were so excited and the postwoman looked like she wanted to join us to see what the ‘cool case’ was all about. Opening the box, we could see there was plenty for us to do, and it wouldn’t matter if it rained this weekend! What’s it all about? ‘Our exciting themed ExplorerBoxes provide hours of adventure, learning and together Tim e for families! They make unique children’s gifts or rainy day, weekend or holiday activities.’ There are three themed boxes, science box, space box and woodland box. We chose to review the science box, and have had a fun filled weekend! All the boxes encourage STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, maths), this is an important  concept when it comes to children’s activities, and most number one toys cover the STEAM spectrum. So it was great to see this! What’s included? The fabulous box ...

Willow and Wild box

Willow and Wild box Recently we received our first Willow and Wild box. We were eagerly awaiting our box arrival after having seen so many amazing post about the fun packed contents. The box, contents and our first impressions The kids were extremely excited to open up the box, even if it meant delaying bedtime! The tag line on the box reads ' Nature Inspired fun and learning' and I can see why. The box is full of activities around nature. The box we received has a lovely focus on bees. In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about bees and decreasing numbers, which is concerning for all, so I was elated to find a lot of bee related activities. My 7 year old has definitely welcomed the contents (he's expressed his concern about decreasing bees- especially after our Knowsley Safari park visit, where we were told life would last approx 4 years if bees became extinct!) First impressions, very happy to see so much i...

Tot Bag

Do you ever find yourself searching for activities you can carry out outdoors with the kids? Exciting activities that will be enjoyed by the younger ones as well as older ones? I definitely found a brilliant subscription box that both the 3 and 7 year old have enjoyed, and that box is, Tot bag/Tot Box. What is the box all about? It is a simple concept, the idea of the activities is to get the children out and about, exploring and learning from the outdoors. The activities provided are easy enough for younger children (approx 3 year olds) but also exciting enough for older children to enjoy them. Both the 3 and 7 year old have enjoyed the activities. Contents In this lovely winter theme box, we received our tot bag, activity booklet and all the items required to carry out the tasks.  The best thing about this box, is that I didn't even have to try and find a pencil!  Each activity comes with all the necessary items, therefo...
